Introduction to Electroplating Power Supplies
An electroplating power supply is a device that converts AC power (main frequency) into DC power of different voltages, frequencies, and waveforms. Thyristor rectifiers primarily utilize rectification technology, while high-frequency switching power supplies employ both rectification and inversion technologies. An electroplating power supply mainly consists of a main circuit and a control circuit. So, do you know how to use an electroplating power supply? Today, we'll guide you through the process.
Electroplating Power Supply Usage
1. Fixing the High-Frequency Electroplating Power Supply
It is recommended to fix the high-frequency electroplating power supply next to or on top of the electroplating tank for easier operation later.
2. Connecting the Output Positive and Negative Terminals
Connect the pre-prepared electroplating positive and negative terminals to the output positive and negative terminals on the back of the high-frequency electroplating power supply. It is recommended to use stainless steel screws for fixing.
3. Connect the filter, shaker, heating element, etc.
If your customized high-frequency electroplating power supply has these functions, please connect the corresponding equipment to the terminal block on the back of the power supply. The terminal block is labeled accordingly; connect according to the labels. If your customized rectifier does not have these functions, please skip this step.
4. Connect the power cord of the high-frequency electroplating power supply
Connect the power cord of the high-frequency electroplating power supply to the power source (220V or 380V, depending on the input voltage of your high-frequency electroplating power supply). A fixed connection is recommended; a socket connection is not recommended. Please ensure the power is off before performing this step for safety.
5. Turn on the power
After ensuring the high-frequency electroplating power supply is installed correctly, turn on the power to use it.
Laboratory Electroplating Power Supply Usage Instructions
1. The power supply uses a single-phase AC220V/50Hz plug input. The casing must be grounded.
2. There are three adjustable potentiometers on the front of the power supply: the left one is for constant voltage; the middle one is for constant current; and the right one is for soft time adjustment. Generally, during use, adjust the constant current to the maximum or current-limiting position, and then adjust the voltage. Of course, users can also use constant current according to their needs. The specific operating state depends on the output value and the setpoint of the constant current or constant voltage state. When the setpoint value of one of the two outputs (current output and voltage output) is reached, the power supply is in the output state that meets the setpoint value.
3. Gas Filling: The power supply has a miniature pump inside, and an output rubber tube for the pump is located on the back. To use, simply attach the rubber tube to the gas filling port of the Hall effect tank and turn on the gas filling switch on the power supply panel to add gas.
4. Heating: The power supply has a heating output terminal (output voltage AC220V) on the back. To use, insert the small three-phase plug of the heating rod (aligning it with the tank opening), then turn on the heating switch on the front panel to heat the solution in the Hall effect tank. To stop heating, turn off the switch.
The above are the relevant usage methods for electroplating power supplies. We hope this information is helpful.
